What we collect

Only what you type into a form. We do not buy lists, and there is no account to create.

• Reserving a spot at an event — your name, email, phone and how many people you are bringing.
• Asking about a private event, a private bar or catering — your name, email, phone, the date, roughly how many people, the address it is going to, and whatever you tell us in the notes.
• Ordering box lunches — the above, plus what each person is having.

Two kinds of information worth naming separately

Allergies and dietary needs are health information. We ask for them because getting them wrong can hurt somebody. They go to the kitchen and onto the labels, and they are not used for anything else, ever.

A box lunch order contains other people's names. If you order for your office, you are typing in colleagues who have never visited this site. We use those names to label the right box and to tell the kitchen who cannot eat what. We do not email them, keep them for marketing, or connect them to anything else. Please only enter what those people would be comfortable with.

What we do with it

We reply to you, cook the food, take the payment and keep the record. That is the whole list. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who else touches it

Only companies that help us run the business, and only for that:

• Render — hosts this site and stores the enquiries and orders, on servers in Oregon.
• Intuit QuickBooks — invoices and payments. If you pay an invoice, your card or bank details go to Intuit, not to us. We never see or store them.
• Toast — our till and menus.
• Google Workspace — our email. If you write to us, Google holds it.
• Resend — sends confirmation emails.
• Google Ads — see cookies, below.

We may also hand something over if the law genuinely requires it. That has not happened.

Cookies

One, and it is a Google Ads conversion tag. If you arrive from one of our ads and later send an enquiry, it lets Google tell us that ad worked. It does not follow you around other websites on our behalf, and we do not run Google Analytics here. Blocking it costs you nothing — every part of this site works the same without it.

Staff signing in to our internal tools get a sign-in cookie. If you are not staff, that never applies to you.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and orders stay while they are useful and then as long as our accountant needs the records. Ask us to delete something and we will, unless it is attached to an invoice we are legally required to keep.

Asking us about your information

Write to info@goldfinchdenver.com and ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. We will answer. You do not need to give a reason and we will not treat you differently for asking. Colorado gives residents these rights formally; we would rather just do it for anyone who asks.

Children

This site is for adults booking food and events. We do not knowingly collect anything from children. If you think we have, tell us and it goes.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
